Accessible Wet Room Installation in Offord Darcy
As part of a wider bungalow refurbishment in Offord Darcy, between St Neots and Huntingdon, we installed a wet room to give the occupier a brand new, fully accessible bathroom. The aim was a safe, comfortable space that could be used easily and would stand up to years of daily use.
Building a level-access wet room
A level-access wet room like this, sometimes called a disabled wet room, is really an accessible bathroom conversion, so it is as much about getting the floor levels, drainage and waterproofing right as it is about the fittings. We built the wet room into the bungalow with a level access floor, proper falls to the drain and a fully tanked, waterproofed structure, so the whole room can be used without a step or a lip to cross.
Because this formed part of a larger bungalow refurbishment, we were able to coordinate the wet room with the rest of the work on the property and keep the standard consistent throughout. Every stage was handled by us.
The finished wet room in Offord Darcy
The occupier in Offord Darcy now has a brand new, fully accessible bathroom built as a proper wet room, with level access and a finish that is easy and safe to use. It improves daily life without feeling clinical, and it sits comfortably within the refurbished bungalow around it.
